404Deals
Amazon arbitrage deal finder
The client
404Deals, our own subscription platform for UK Amazon sellers who buy stock to resell and need to know, quickly, whether a product is worth buying.
The problem
Sellers were checking each product by hand. Opening the listing, reading the historical price chart, guessing at fees, and working out whether there was margin left. Three to five minutes of research per product, repeated hundreds of times a week, and still plenty of bad buys.
What we built
One line per product with the history already pulled, the Amazon fees, FBA costs and VAT already deducted, and the net profit and ROI already calculated. Three to five minutes of research became a one second glance: buy it or skip it.
What makes it different
It comes to you. Set the filters for the kind of product you actually buy, and the platform sends matches to Telegram and Discord, plus a desktop push notification in Chrome. The platform tells you when something worth buying appears, so you can get on with the rest of your day.
The hard part
Making live third-party data behave. Keepa is rate limited by a token budget, so the fetching had to be queued and scheduled to stay inside quota without going stale. Fee and VAT logic had to survive Amazon’s different categories and business discounts. And the alerting had to fan out to three channels at once.
